To Followers from France

Dear Followers from France,

I have a very special request.

I am quite amazed and really thrilled that my website/blog has attracted so many followers and viewers from France. In both 2014 and 2015, and continuing into 2015, France has been the #1 country. Last year in all but July, August and September (holiday time, I guess) France consistently topped the list, and by a wide margin.

What I’m really curious to know is why, and how? Is it because of the links on Marielle Bianchi’s blog and Michelle Henry’s website? What is it that you like or find useful about Diana Funtana ESL Productions? Have you used the videos in your classes and what has been the reaction from your students? Have any of you ordered worksheets, and what has been your experience? Is there anything else you’d like to see?

You can reply to my e-mail at dianafuntanaesl@gmail.com or, even better, post a comment on the blog.

I look forward to hearing from some of you!

All the best!

Diana Funtana

The top 5 countries were: France, US, Canada, Spain and Brazil.

I’ve been slow to post more short grammar lessons, but a couple should be coming.

2015 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 12,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

November news

Hello Friends and Followers!

November experienced the most activity since May, especially the telephone videos. I guess it must have been “Telephone in English month”! This is nice to see.

The top 5 countries were: France, Italy (a first), Canada, United States, and Poland (also a first)

The most viewed page was my home page.

The most popular video was Can I Take a Message, followed closely by Making an Appointment.

I added a couple of short grammar lessons on the present perfect, and will be posting lessons next on past tenses.

As always I welcome your feedback, and invite you to post comments.

All the best,

Diana Funtana

October

Hi Friends and Followers,

Here are some statistics for the month of October:

Top five countries: France, USA, Canada, Colombia, Spain

Top page: Home page

Top video: Telephone Basics, followed by 6:00 News (looks like some people have been doing a lot of telephoning practice this month. Good for you!)

I will be adding the last in a series of short grammar lessons on the present perfect shortly, and plan to prepare more on using past tenses.

Again I ask you to post comments and feedback.

All the best,

Diana Funtana

September

Hi Friends and Followers,

Here are some interesting stats for September:

Top 5 countries: Canada, France, USA, Brazil, Mexico

Top video: Life Experiences makes a resurgence with Telephone Basics close behind

Top page: Home page

Number of views: 802

In October I’ll be adding two more short grammar lessons on the Present Perfect. Why the Present Perfect, you ask. Well, I think it’s a verb tense that causes learners a lot of trouble, and I hope these lessons clear some of the fog.

All game files are now free, so I hope that will encourage the teachers among you to use them in your classrooms.

Again, please feel free to post comments and feedback. I look forward to seeing them.

All the best,

Diana Funtana
